An in depth rolling programme, specifically aimed at talented musicians
Big Help Academy
As well as looking good with it - Alice plays and sings a great version of Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" on the guitar
Can the Academy help you?
The Big Help Academy is an inclusive training programme specifically designed for individual performers looking to take the next step. We provide a broad range of essential practical skills and stage craft.
We differ from traditional 'Stage schools' in many ways:
First of all, our training sessions are in the evening and some weekends so you are able to manage your time around other commitments.
We are non-exclusive in our policy - and positively encourage all our Academy performers to get involved in other community events - as well as taking advantage of the live opportunities we find for them.
Academy performer Alice Robinson was put forward for Open Mic UK and reached the National Final in 2009. Check out her live performance at that show using this YouTube link:
All of our staff also work in the music industry and have first hand knowledge and experience of production values and industry expectations.
If you are thinking of a career in the Performing Arts we are in an ideal position to offer sound no-nonsense advice to our performers.
If you are a singing performer who needs to discover your potential, improve existing skills and learn new ones ... this scheme is for you.
We have an experienced team with a proven track record.
For more information and to find out when we are auditioning for the next course - send an email via the link just above our address.
If you are a parent who would like to find out more, you can either call us or send an email requesting a call back for an informal chat.
As well as talkin to an Academy team member - you can also speak to one of our current parents if you would like to hear their view.
Use the link below to visit our brand new page on Facebook. Share your comments with other performers and get the very latest news on all our training, concerts and other events. Most of our monthly concerts are free for you to come and watch.

How big a stage do you want to perform on?
You will gain valuable live experience, performance skills, 'stage-craft' and improved your confidence and ability to move forward - whether you are pursuing a music career or want to keep it as a serious hobby.
The focus that performing requires is a valuable life-skill that can be transferred to other parts of your academic and social life.
The quiet confidence of having achieved a goal is well recognised as a great contributor to self esteem and coping with other life challenges.
But .. most important of all .. its FUN!
